The king called a cabinet meeting for this. The king asked the advice of the ministers, ``Whom should I honor?"<br /><br />A minister stood up and said, "We should respect the writer because he teaches us all to live life through his ideas". Another minister said, "We should respect the artist because he brings us out of depression by providing entertainment". The third minister said, "We should respect the engineer because it is because of him that there has been so much development. These roads, big houses, various machines and physical facilities have come only because of the engineer". A fourth said, "We should respect the doctor because he gives new life". The fifth minister said, "According to my opinion, the industrialist should be respected because of this many people get employment and the state also gets income". The another minister raised his voice, "we should respect teachers. He teaches us all."<br /><br />The king was confused after hearing the different suggestions of all the ministers. All these people really contributed tremendously to the development of the state so there was a big confusion as to whom to honor. The king asked the most experienced and senior minister of the state to give his opinion who was still sitting silently listening to everyone. Senior Pradhan said, "Maharaj, give me one hour's time for this. I will go out for an hour and then give my opinion". The king gave permission for this.<br /><br />The state's senior-most minister left the meeting and returned after an hour. <br /><br />He returned with a man full of effulgence, radiance and happiness in his aura. Yes, he came with a glorious and Holy Saint of the state. Most of the ministers sitting in the meeting smiled at the sight of this man. All these ministers stood up from their seats and bowed down to the old lady. The king started thinking that I am giving salary to everyone but no minister is paying me so much respect!!" <br /><br />Looking to the Saint the king himself also stood up and bowed down to Him.<br /><br />Now the senior minister clarified the picture. He said, all present here had their opinion and their opinions were right. But the contribution of scientists, engineers, teachers, authors etc. is limited for their respective fields. While the saint has a long-lasting contribution to our society. The saint is all in one!!<br /><br />We cherish His positive impact and influence forever and we feel grateful when He shower His gracious blessings upon us. He gives a golden touch to society, turning it into a beautiful heaven on earth while minimizing the distress and hopelessness from people’s lives. His Devotional sentiments subtly cleanse the materialistic pollution from the minds of His followers. The aspirations and achievements of this human being cannot be recorded even in a colossal book. He has set himself as role model for the masses to follow. He has guided us to achieve peace of mind through spirituality.<br /><br />The king looked at the senior minister and asked, "I understand whose contribution is the most important in the development of the state? Writer, artist, engineer, doctor or industrialist, all these have an invaluable contribution to the well-being of the state, but the work of shaping all these is done by the Saint, so the honor of the Saint should be respected."<br /><br />This story reminds us of the dedicated life of Swami Mukundananda.<br /><br />Swamiji doesn't work for one particular department; his services are multi-dimensional and expand to many departments and faculties of this world and beyond!! He serves not only to a particular community of limited class of the society, he serves the entire human kind.<br /><br />He is an engineer, bridging the gap between soul and God.<br /><br />He is a Professor, who elucidates the Vedic message to a wide range of students with different attitudes---from emotional young children to persons with highly logical brains.<br /><br />He is a mathematician, who solves problems, doubts and confusions arising from apparently contradictory scriptures.<br /><br />He is a scientist, discovering and simplifying the formulas for devotion in a changing world.<br /><br />He is a geologist, mapping and guiding all towards the spiritual dimensions where many elevated souls reached in their lifespan in the past.<br /><br />He is a preacher, promoting the Vedic lifestyle and spreading the words of Hari and Guru.<br /><br />He is a singer, who sings the glory of God's divine forms, virtues, abodes, and pastimes.<br /><br />He is an orator, who explains difficult scriptural principles making it easy to understand and practice.<br /><br />He is a gardener, who nurtures the seed of devotion in the heart of people.<br /><br />He is an advocate of the Sanatan Dharm.<br /><br />He is a lawyer, clarifies the laws of God and inspires others to abide by them.<br /><br />He is a guardian, protecting the Sanatan Vedic knowledge.<br /><br />He is a doctor, who helps to uproot the bhav rog by healing infirmities of the body, mind and soul by inspiring them to walk on the path of Yog and God-realization.<br /><br />He is an author, expressing the greatness and glory of the Divine in meaningful words.”<br /><br />And the list goes on..<br />Swamiji is a dedicated follower of Hari-Guru.<br /><br />He is an inspiration for thousands..<br /><br />Friendly philosopher and guide to many...<br /><br />A founder of Bal-Mukund and JKYog...<br /><br />Parents often complain, "It is like trying to chew iron nuts when it comes to convincing their children to follow God's words." Not only children, it is a very difficult task to inspire even one or two close relatives to walk on the path of God-realization; we all have faced this at one or other stage of our life. But looking at Swamiji’s life, listening to his lectures and kirtans, many people, not only from India but even from other countries, wish and start to walk on the path of God-realization. Such contagious devotion he possesses. <br /><br />Swamiji has been selflessly and tirelessly spreading the Divine message of Lord Krishna and Shree Maharaj ji throughout the world.<br /><br />Swamiji, Your Birthday is a blessed day for all of us. You have set a brilliant example of selfless service and love for God and Guru!! In other words, this day has given birth to many spiritual births and opportunities to others! Our most humble greeting to You on this special day! This day, is an opportunity to express our gratitude for Your invaluable spiritual gifts distributed for free. Especially during this time when humankind is facing and fighting with the strange Corona virus, the God is often remembered through this famous shlok of Bhagwad Geeta- either for seeking protection or out of curiosity due to unending adversity:</span></span><div><span style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"> </span></span><br /><blockquote style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0px 40px; padding: 0px; text-align: left;"><div><div class="gmail_quote"><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: white; font-weight: 700; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत |</span></span></div></div></div><div><div class="gmail_quote"><span class="im" style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: times;"><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-weight: 700; text-align: center;">अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् ||</span></div></span></span></div></div><div><div class="gmail_quote"><span class="im" style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: times;"><div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-weight: 700; text-align: center;">परित्राणाय साधूनां विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम् |</span></div></div></span></span></div></div><div><div class="gmail_quote"><span class="im" style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: times;"><span style="font-weight: 700; text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: justify;">धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे युगे ||<span style="background-color: transparent; text-align: left;"> </span></div></span></span></span></div></div></blockquote><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;"> Bhagavad Gita:4-7,8</span></div><div><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;"><br /></span></div><div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTQTwagGLwLzhLRmF4DQtY0p7cEz2SbJyFgczCOjncaLFvB-vZpnE-SHkGxNWX4P6p8js_nHn5EXbYX7GAgVxwYui96wHFHpafcaYhw8vyq7FI9DRt-r6WLsvw7j63uzohAl9OIrFLYYI/s1024/gita12.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="740" data-original-width="1024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTQTwagGLwLzhLRmF4DQtY0p7cEz2SbJyFgczCOjncaLFvB-vZpnE-SHkGxNWX4P6p8js_nHn5EXbYX7GAgVxwYui96wHFHpafcaYhw8vyq7FI9DRt-r6WLsvw7j63uzohAl9OIrFLYYI/s320/gita12.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times;"><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times;"><br /></span></div>Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj says, "HE is waiting for us with wide, open arms."</span></div><p><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;">So, why is He delaying His descendance on the earth when we are facing so many challenges simultaneously?</span></p><p><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;">This is the time when we need to go beyond our selective memory and remember Shree Krishna's words once again. He also said, "I will come to annihilate adharm and to protect dharm". He stated that He will be on the side of Dharma!!</span></p><p><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;">Now these words suggest the need of introspection!</span></p><p><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;">Are we on the path of Dharma? Once we have reflected on this question, our curiosity to seek clarification on His apparent absence or the so called unending adversity will get answered.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;">Knowingly unknowingly, to attain small gains, to fulfill our mundane desires many times we deviate from the principles of dharma. As soon as we face the consequences of these deviations, we seek God to redeem us.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;">Not only that, many times we ignore the unrighteous approach just out of our preferences! And how we find leeways! We call it duty, need, helplessness and what not and end up victimizing ourselves for siding Adharma. Bhaishma Pitamah, Dronacharya and Kripacharya are the examples of this. They knew that Kauravas had malicious intentions and that Pandavas were virtuous and deserving. But under the pressure of their respective duties, they knowingly or unknowingly, happily or unhappily supported, encouraged and pampered Kauravas. And it is also known that these are the reasons why Shree Krishna was not in that side! </span></p><p><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;">On the other side, Pandavas who were entitled to a kingdom, continued to stick to Dharma even in the face of grave adversities. They were enough capable, powerful and intelligent to respond back to each act of injustice done by Kauravas, but they chose not to leave their Dharma.</span></p><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;"> </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;">Looking to the straightforwardness and righteousness, humility and God-seeking attitude, Shree Krishna came to support them. At that stage also He gave them choice to select God or His mighty army. But The Krishna-loving Pandavas chose Shree KRISHNA against His mighty army.Their love for God, their righteousness attract God's grace.And we know that Shree Krishna didn't even redeem them, but worked with them like their Sakha...parabhrama Parmeshwar became a charioteer of Arjun's chariot!</span></div><div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></div><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;">Shree Krishna is kind. He is Dayanidhi.He is Karunasindhu. He cannot wait for a moment to rush to help His devotees but the need is to purify ourselves. </span></div><div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></div><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;"> Here the role of Bhagavad Gita comes.</span><br /><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;"> It is not merely a book on which you put your hand in the courts and take the vows! </span><br /><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;"> It is not merely a book to put on the altar and to offer incense sticks to. </span><br /><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;"> It is not a thing to highlight as your favorite book on your facebook page alone to show how religious minded you are.</span></div><div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></div><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;"> Bhagavad Gita is DIVINE WORDS of SHREE KRISHNA HIMSELF!</span><br /><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;"> It is divine guidance.</span><br /><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;"> It is for a person to live his day-to-day life fulfilling and for the soul to decide its journey further.</span><br /><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;"> It is a complete package for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness.</span></div><div><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="background-color: white; font-family: times; text-align: justify;"> It teaches to have a candid dialogue with God regarding the problems. A Variety of food was being offered to Lord Shree Krishna. Everyone was engaged in devotion with great sentiments. A college-going young boy- a novice on the path of devotion with his intellect yet weighing the divinity, was also observing everything. The ceremony was going on very well.</p>After the Puja was over, the pujari announced that all the devotees must accept the prasadam and only then leave. That young boy saw that not a single thing was consumed by God and even then everyone was accepting the prasadam with great sentiments. His intellect started itching. He could not resist and went straight to His Guru. He asked his Guru, "This is something that I cannot digest. We keep offering food to God and nothing is consumed by Him. Does God really eat? or are we just doing a drama in the name of traditions?"<br /><br />The enlightened Guru understood the plight of the intellectual beginners and responded to the devotee with compassion.<br /><br />He told him to bring a rose garland and a weighing scale. He couldn’t understand the purpose but did it never the less. He brought a garland and weighing scale.<br /><br />The Guru told him to weigh the garland. He did so and told the exact weight of rose garland. It was exactly 700 gms.<br /><br /><div>Then the Guru told him to smell the garland. He did so. The Guru told him to smell it as much as possible, again and again. He followed the words of Guru. It seemed like his entire existence was filled with the aroma of roses!<br /><br />Now the Guru told him to weigh the garland again. He weighed it. <br /><br />The Guru asked him, "Is there any difference in the weight?"<br /><br />He said, "No, it is the same."</div><div><span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="text-align: center;">Now his Guru explained the answer, "You smelled so much of the fragrance of these roses but not a bit of its weight is reduced by that. Similarly, God does eat the offered food- not physically, but he accepts the sentiments poured in them. He is omniscient. Right from the stage of mere thought when you wish to offer something to God, He starts accepting your sentiments. The varieties you choose, the quality of ingredients you buy, the way you prepare varieties, the way you present food, the way you offer them and the way you keep faith in this entire ceremony- everything is observed by God and He starts relishing your offerings right from the time when you conceived the thought of those offerings. So, apparently, nothing is consumed by Him but yet the entire food becomes divine prasadam. and when you eat that prasadam, it spreads devotion in your entire inner system. The more sensitive you are to these, the more divinity you would experience within.”</span></div><div><span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvVvlMDGhtfOF7BdQzOliKzsUSo-c4_MjD1wc0wVUFjJhnoYEstJ2eCGBVzvKATmD4s1VYtvgJ2hyiIcY6yJgtS9iWFsp6524W96ZJ8eBjPHtnR77jYb9JnfigdiRsO6lBHoY73ZaeGNE/s911/govardhan+2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="511" data-original-width="911" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvVvlMDGhtfOF7BdQzOliKzsUSo-c4_MjD1wc0wVUFjJhnoYEstJ2eCGBVzvKATmD4s1VYtvgJ2hyiIcY6yJgtS9iWFsp6524W96ZJ8eBjPHtnR77jYb9JnfigdiRsO6lBHoY73ZaeGNE/s320/govardhan+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span></div>Krishnabhaktihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17973630761245163276noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6907842364330674373.post-20518690570038256562020-05-07T03:23:00.000-07:002020-05-07T03:23:00.246-07:00Important Lessons From Kurma Avatar<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /><span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Happy Kurma Jayanti!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />Kurma Avatar is the second incarnation of Shree Hari. Kurma means Tortoise. It is a tortoise form of Shree Hari; greatly revered by the devotees. During the great celestial event of Samudra Manthan, Mount Mandara was used as the pivot for churning the oceans. But when it began to sink, Shree Hari appeared as a giant tortoise that held the mountain up on His back.<br /> <br />Thus without the help of Lord Kurma , the milk-ocean or ‘Kshirsagara’ would not have been churned; and the demigods wouldn’t have found the 14 sacred ratnas or divine gifts. The day of Kurma Jayanti thus holds special religious significance.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA40Kib9r4of8rmCg2Cw5FFLkdCpnLf5Bpw6hK7qukRqab5LTDoktIoaOgesDIJts76kwZIxxXUp03UftDJhOrdYOKFuQEcWJThW6xk0U182LXKDBCk2MlY4pef0HnQG-nB3MHZogpPp8/s1600/kurma+avatar3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="635" data-original-width="1600" height="127" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA40Kib9r4of8rmCg2Cw5FFLkdCpnLf5Bpw6hK7qukRqab5LTDoktIoaOgesDIJts76kwZIxxXUp03UftDJhOrdYOKFuQEcWJThW6xk0U182LXKDBCk2MlY4pef0HnQG-nB3MHZogpPp8/s320/kurma+avatar3.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />Message of Kurma Jayanti:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />1.There is duality everywhere in the world. Day and Night, right and wrong, good and bad, pain and pleasure, etc....and both the factors pulling us at their sides. Due to these continuous churning, we loose our balance and stability. In this condition only Shree Hari, His name or remembrance can provide the stability and balance in our life.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />2.God appeared and sat as Kurma under Mt. Mandarachal. The foundation always remains at the bottom. In every structure foundation is of prime importance. If the foundation is weak or shaky the structure collapses. Thus Kurma avatar teaches us the virtues of stability and balance.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />3.The foundation always remains at the bottom. Lord Kurma teaches us the importance of humbleness by remaining at the bottom.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />4. The foundation can never be seen, and that is its great and silent contribution to any buildings. We used to praise the buildings but the foundation always remain under the cover.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />Let us pray to Lord Kurma on Kurma Jayanti day and seek His blessings. </span></div>

<br /><div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Matsya, (Sanskrit: “Fish”) is one of the ten Avatars (incarnations) of Bhagavan Shree Hari.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">In MATSYA Avatar, Lord Vishnu incarnates himself as a fish in this world. In the earliest yuga (era) of Sata-yuga, a king named Manu was performing severe penance for thousands of years. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />One day as he was performing ablutions with river water, a small fish came into his hands and just as he was about to throw the fish back into the river, the fish requested the king to save its life. Heeding its request, the king put the fish into a jar of water but the fish started growing and the jar was not big enough for it. Then the king threw it into the river, but it soon it outgrew the river and the king then threw it into Ganges and then into the ocean. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />The king realized that it was Lord Vishnu himself and then the lord made an appearance and made a special request to the king. It predicted that the world would come to an end by a huge flood in seven days and requested the king to build a huge boat and take the seven sages(hermits), seeds of all plants, one animal of each type and told him that he would appear as a fish to propel the boat to Mt Himavan for surviving the flood to the next yuga(eon). </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />True to his word, after seven days the Lord appeared and the king tied the boat to the fish by using the royal serpent Vasuki and the fish took all of them to Mt Himavan and kept them there till the flood was over and in the new era, the king started procreation for the new era.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />"Whenever Dharma, or the situation of law and order, is endangered on this world, I shall incarnate onto this world to re-establish Dharma, law and order, and to protect the good people and to destroy the evil elements of the society."<br /><br />The teachings of Matsyavatar are as below:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">1. God keeps His promises.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />2. God can assume any form to keep His promise and to save His devotees.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />3. In a chaotic circumstances, we can find grace in God.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />4. Keep your account of karma clean, at the final time that only will be helpful.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />5. Keep your vessel (build your future by intense sadhana) ready, He will bestow His grace when the right time will come.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">6. In this avatar, Lord saved the knowledge and law, thus he had given us moral that law and knowledge are mandatory to make and run a society. </span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Bhagavad Gita literally means “The Song of God". The Bhagavad Gita is a dialogue between Lord Shree Krishna and Arjun on the battlefield at <i>Kurukshetra</i>, where the<i> Pandavas</i> were fighting the righteous war with their cousins, the <i>Kauravas.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
Shreemad Bhagavad Gita is not just a book but it is a song sung by Shree Krishna Himself!! That is the Divine Glory of this holy scripture.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Bhagavad Gita is a journey...</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyVGofiDBw8BJlOIk_Hx8LsrZdV8YcE77sCsajEzDVX75AwdClqkmXN7QQE1HAaeVKt0Zgomr2ouCOZv2TO8ke_0fuquHYqV1oObiXpW6lOdfCo4b2SVayMqq1rhg3zTCsP8K_8u7qSNM/s1600/gg.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="656" data-original-width="500" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyVGofiDBw8BJlOIk_Hx8LsrZdV8YcE77sCsajEzDVX75AwdClqkmXN7QQE1HAaeVKt0Zgomr2ouCOZv2TO8ke_0fuquHYqV1oObiXpW6lOdfCo4b2SVayMqq1rhg3zTCsP8K_8u7qSNM/s320/gg.jpg" width="243" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><br /></b></span>
<b>From Grief to Glory</b><br />
Arjun's grief made him weak enough to drop his duties of defending the right. Grief led him to confusion. Bhagavad Gita transformed this emotion into the spiritual Glory in Arjun's life.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<b>From Confusion to Clarity</b><br />
Arjun's confusion coaxed him into a thicker illusion, believing he was bound by the physical relationship toward kins from the opposite side, which resulted in excuses not to put up a fight. Bhagavad Gita uprooted his confusion and gave him clarity of thought and perspective, thus enlightening his path toward conquering not only the external war but also the internal battle.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<b>From Illusion to Enlightenment</b><br />
Arjun's fallacy regarding self identity dragged him into entanglement of physical relationships, leading to worries regarding the results of the war. Bhagavad Gita removed his illusion and established the enlightenment by revealing his true self in the spiritual realm.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<b>From Worries to Victory</b><br />
Arjun's worries created dejection and withdrawal symptoms amidst the battlefield. Bhagavad Gita removed Arjun's negative sentiments and bestowed unto him with the much needed victory.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<b>From Self-identification to Surrender</b><br />
The root cause of Arjun miseries was his mistaken self-identity; when he finally surrendered to Krishna, he could take the charge and deliver himself.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<b>From Trembling to Triumph</b><br />
It is the power of Bhagavad Gita, the song of God, sung by Shree Krishna HIMSELF, that Arjun's trembling state (in the form of physical, mental, inter-personal relationships, false righteousness, fruitive karma, etc.) transformed into the Triumph.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<b>From Choice to Charge</b><br />
Bhagavad Gita is a journey from Arjun's choosing Krishna (rather than Shree Krishna's whole Army) and taking the charge according to HIS WILL (in the battle field).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp3ccSmS2zS8ZmCDl2G59O6mOID5SIHCknacP2lCdDcaiY3EGwpXifqGtKq9ES2aehzVPKXAPWSE21iCUnRz0V57npw9mcHpHebnFMsbSM7O0i_W5hubH-nD5dirj1DNphvxI8QnBSoHo/s1600/gg1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="666" data-original-width="900" height="236" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp3ccSmS2zS8ZmCDl2G59O6mOID5SIHCknacP2lCdDcaiY3EGwpXifqGtKq9ES2aehzVPKXAPWSE21iCUnRz0V57npw9mcHpHebnFMsbSM7O0i_W5hubH-nD5dirj1DNphvxI8QnBSoHo/s320/gg1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<b>Key points of Bhagavad Gita:</b><br />
<br />
1. Shree Krishna tried His best to avoid the war.<br />
<br />
Despite being the King of Dwaraka, He himself went to the <i>Kauravas</i> as a "Peace Messenger"!!<br />
When <i>Kauravas</i> refused to part with even half of land, Shree Krishna put the minimal offer and asked only for five villages---one each for <i>Pandavas</i>.<br />
He also revealed His virat Roop in the court of Dhritarashtra.<br />
BUT...<br />
...blinded by the ignorance and pride, no one could understand His humility when God Himself came as a Peace messenger!!<br />
No one could agree to HIS simplest proposal.<br />
No one could see HIS Divine Form due to the lack of Divine vision.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKDIrbHJPJ-w3quTo0eEHCkBWvhRMgph6dACoZnPxH2LwRhi_GVMTFLt1T1BdluMBTk7SKYlEV05yx-zDRnv0XTJbeYdw2SfL7H5pnq-q-8W3PjVLbBkW-ZKq2viKUS0DcUZ-FhY4iaEs/s1600/gg4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="882" data-original-width="1200" height="235" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKDIrbHJPJ-w3quTo0eEHCkBWvhRMgph6dACoZnPxH2LwRhi_GVMTFLt1T1BdluMBTk7SKYlEV05yx-zDRnv0XTJbeYdw2SfL7H5pnq-q-8W3PjVLbBkW-ZKq2viKUS0DcUZ-FhY4iaEs/s320/gg4.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. After the unjust exile of the <i>Pandavas</i>, the <i>laksha-grih</i> scandal, cheating in gambling, <i>Daupadi's vastraharan</i>, and many other injustices and sufferings, War was the only way left out to curb arrogant, ignorant and irresponsible <i>Kauravas</i>' evil empire.<br />
<br />
3. The roots of Bhagavad Gita lies in the choice Arjun made. When in Dwaraka, Shree Krishna offered him two options:<br />
He Himself or His mighty army. "<b>Narayan or Narayani Sena</b>"! Arjun chose Shree Krishna and that day the roots of Bhagavad GIta were sown. Because once one chooses Lord Krishna and leaves all other supports, Shree Krishna takes the complete responsibility of that person.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6oSNJ1As9IBEhuoyAJULtzBg-10qYb96Wcs6aF8Uh6cg5SE9-a6FTlv4S65jDcuaCchnMgcAqv54Yo_hWGF_97xI6DUjXKJ3XI11kM11Vhm5fogFZ6p-WToDMLN4iFhGsSSEoUi65wjA/s1600/gg2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="435" data-original-width="500" height="278" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6oSNJ1As9IBEhuoyAJULtzBg-10qYb96Wcs6aF8Uh6cg5SE9-a6FTlv4S65jDcuaCchnMgcAqv54Yo_hWGF_97xI6DUjXKJ3XI11kM11Vhm5fogFZ6p-WToDMLN4iFhGsSSEoUi65wjA/s320/gg2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
4. Shree Krishna had never told Arjun to fight for his own rights or victory. Being a <i>Kshatriya</i>, Arjun was also responsible to ensure social security, development and righteousness. Arjun, by refusing to fight the war, was indirectly permitting injustice to sprawl and corrude the social structure.<br />
<br />
5. Only three persons had listened to the Bhagavad Gita directly from the Lotus-Mouth of Shree Krishna; Arjun, Sanjay and Hanuman who was sitting on Arjun' chariot.<br />
<br />
6. Bhagavad Gita is a great Psycho-Spiritual scripture where Shree Krishna had played a great role of the First Supreme Psychologist who had not only treated Arjun physically or mentally or emotionally but He provided the spiritual knowledge, solution-oriented techniques and wisdom for every one's psyche.<br />
<br />
7. God reveals His forms according to the time and society. The same Lord who revealed Himself as a <i>Maryada Purushottam </i>in <i>Dvapar Yug</i>, revealed Himself as a <i>Purna Purushottam</i> in <i>Treta Yug</i>. The same Lord instructed and inspired Arjun to fight for the wellness and righteousness. When saintly qualities such as humility, goodness, compassion, etc. are over-powered by the evil beings, it is better not to continue with such nature, because it weakens the social and moral character. And sometimes it is considered as a weakness. Shree Krishna warned Arjun about this.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
8. The song sung by Shree Krishna before more than 5000 years has key solutions for our all problems and is perfectly applicable to even present era.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<span style="text-align: justify;">9. Shreemad Bhagavad Gita is an Art of Man-making and a Science of Spiritual being.</span><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<span style="text-align: justify;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpRTe1FG7xFEA7idNP_PQhW9vsphCn-8eJR_0qTV0makHZyt49cIrWZl9l9JLyu9YgX80LStPRok1DYYgs40h6VIbgePfT62i2v8e1V5Xg5WbS7RkxyylTLni22g_zqn57b4omn_MazzU/s1600/Bhagavad-Gita-by-swami-mukundananda.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="971" data-original-width="750" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpRTe1FG7xFEA7idNP_PQhW9vsphCn-8eJR_0qTV0makHZyt49cIrWZl9l9JLyu9YgX80LStPRok1DYYgs40h6VIbgePfT62i2v8e1V5Xg5WbS7RkxyylTLni22g_zqn57b4omn_MazzU/s320/Bhagavad-Gita-by-swami-mukundananda.jpg" width="247" /></a></span></div>
<span style="text-align: justify;">
</span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<b>Lessons form the episode of Bhagavad Gita:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
1. Choose God always.<br />
<br />
2. Do not be afraid by the confusions, worries and grief on the path of Spirituality. It is a process of purification toward elevation. If your intentions are pure and efforts are sincere, God will reveal the Supreme solutions to you.<br />
<br />
3. Put God in the driver's seat of your life because anything under His control will never be out of control.<br />
<br />
4. God will never misinterpret your <i>deenata</i> or humility as your weakness. He appreciates your tiniest sentiments.<br />
<br />
5. In confusion, do not wander here and there, seek God for the solutions.<br />
6. Once you are truly surrender to God, the Almighty God happily excepts to even drive your chariot.<br />
<br />
7. Your actions should not be motivated by ignorance and selfishness.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Lord Shree Krishna is extending his loving hand but we neglect Him in the process of sipping honey.......</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We are not able to think of God and hold onto Him who is the best support during our times of trouble. This is how we are leading our life in samsara, lost in the pleasures of the world!!! Read this allegorical story which teaches us this eye opener lesson.</div>
</span><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">A man used to take his evening walk by the side of a forest. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">One evening, he decided to walk in the forest instead. When he had walked a couple of miles, the sun began setting and the light started fading. He turned around to walk out of the forest, but to his dismay he found that animals had gathered on the other side. These ferocious animals started chasing him and to escape from them, he ran deeper into the forest. While running, he found a witch standing in front of him with open arms to embrace him. To escape her, he turned direction and ran perpendicular to the animals and the witch. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">By then, it had become dark. Unable to see much, he ran over a ditch that was covered by vine hanging from a tree. He fell headlong, but his feet became entangled in the vine. As a result, he began hanging upside down above the ditch. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">After a few moments he came to his senses and saw a snake sitting at the bottom of the ditch, waiting to bite him if he fell down. In the meantime, two mice appeared—one white and one black—and started nibbling at the branch from which the vine was hanging. To confound his problems, some wasps gathered and began stinging him on his face. In this precarious situation, it was found that the man was smiling. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Philosophers gathered to ponder how he could smile in such a dire strait. They looked upwards and found a beehive, from which honey was dripping onto his tongue. He was licking the honey and thinking how pleasurable it was; he had forgotten the animals, the witch, the snake, the mice, and the wasps.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzUYbLY4an-TMmm9Lr4C4VED7VIB8PIzILLNe8Duj4JJWbW4iU7zSLfoxo9mD1aliFhiB68XxDaXOZHyk-cFIpfcmG5Xh8HX8zYY5HWncvRKFf9d8iWBuqQBqiUnFGEkOBa-MrRybXee4/s1600/story+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="639" data-original-width="639" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzUYbLY4an-TMmm9Lr4C4VED7VIB8PIzILLNe8Duj4JJWbW4iU7zSLfoxo9mD1aliFhiB68XxDaXOZHyk-cFIpfcmG5Xh8HX8zYY5HWncvRKFf9d8iWBuqQBqiUnFGEkOBa-MrRybXee4/s320/story+1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">The person in the story may seem insane to us. However, this tale depicts the condition of all humans under the influence of desire. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">The forest in which the man was walking represents the material world in which we live, where there is danger at every step. The animals that chased him represent diseases that begin to appear in life, and continue harassing us until death. The witch represented old age that is waiting to embrace us with the passage of time. The snake at the bottom of the pit is like the inevitable death that awaits us all. The white and black mice that were nibbling on the branch represent day and night, which are steadily reducing our life and bringing us closer to death. The wasps that were stinging the face are like the innumerable desires that arise in the mind and agitate it, causing us pain and distress. Honey represents the sensual enjoyment we experience in the world, which clouds the discrimination of our intellect. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Hence, forgetting our precarious position, we remain absorbed in enjoying the temporary delights of the senses. Shree Krishna states that it is this type of lustful desire that is responsible for shrouding our power of discrimination.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Bal Mukund kids can celebrate Rath Yatra at home:<br /><br />Ratha Yatra is a great day for the devotees of Shree Krishna as the Lord himself comes out of the temple to give darshan to His devotees.<br /><br />It may be difficult for many to reach the place and have the Divine Darshan. Don’t get disheartened! You can celebrate the Rath Yatra at your home.<br /><br />Invite all your friends to join in the service of Lord Jagannathaji.<br /><br />Make a small chariot of cardboard or wood with the help of your parents or elders. Decorate the chariot with fresh and colorful flowers. Put a small Dhwaja on it. You can also decorate the chariot with colorful lights. Spread a velvet cloth (red carpet) on it and make an asan for the Lord to sit. Sprinkle some perfume with a divine fragrance of chandan and rose. Spread rose petals near the asan of Lord to welcome Him. Tie long ropes or sticks to the chariot to pull it.<br /><br />Now decorate the deities with new clothes, crown, beautiful necklaces, and garland of roses and other flowers. Put the deities of Lord Jagannathaji, Balaramaji, and Subhadraji in it with great reverence. Offer Them prasadam as bhog. You can offer fresh fruits, laddus (small sweet balls), or even chocolates. Try your best to offer home-made varieties to the Lord.<br /><br />You can also sing Naam Sankirtan of Shree Krishna and Radhaji. Blow the counch. Ring the bells. Beat the drums. Use as many musical instruments to please the Lord. Pull the Chariot. Be gentle, avoid jerks. Distribute the prasadam of the Lord. Try to distribute it as much as possible.<br /><br />Don’t forget to remember the Lord during the whole Rath Yatra. “Oh Lord! Grant me Your service... may my heart be engaged in Your service forever! Kindly bless me!”</span><div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Maharajji's childhood was spent in fun and frolic with friends. Yet, he amazed everyone by displaying his mastery in every subject that was taught in school. His answer papers in examinations would always be perfect, but his teachers would hesitate to give him a perfect score, and would award him 99 marks. His friends would be so impressed by this feat, that they had given him the name " Mr. Ninety Nine." He would often take his young village friends to sit under shady village trees, and engage them in singing loving <i>keertans</i> to God. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">At the age of fourteen, he left his village Mangarh to study courses from three Universities, at Kashi, Delhi and Kolkata. In those days in India, students were given the facility to register for courses, and study them at home. Due to his exceptional ability, Maharajji completed eighteen years syllabus in a short span of just two-and-a-half years. He received three degrees <i>-Vyakaran Acharya, Sahitya Acharya, and Ayurved Acharya.</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">At the young age of sixteen, he gave up his studies and entered the dense forests of Chitrakoot, where he remained absorbed in intense love of Shree Radha Krishna. During that period, he would rest in caves and eat fruits from the trees of the forest. Often having no awareness of his body, he would go without eating and drinking for several days at a stretch. His mind would remain immersed in <i>Mahabhav</i>, the highest state of devotion to Lord Shree Krishna. This elevated state of<i> Mahabhav </i>devotion was also manifested by another great Saint, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, about five hundred years ago.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">In January 1957, Maharajji was invited to give a series of lectures to the<i> Kashi Vidvat Parishat. </i>This was a body of 500 foremost Vedic scholars of India, each of them was a master of one or more scriptures. Maharajji spoke in Sanskrit for ten days, giving innumerable quotations from the V<i>edas, Puranas, Mahabharat, Ramayan, Vedant,</i> and other scriptures. He showed the wonderful unity in the teachings of the previous jagadgurus and revealed the true path of God realization.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">When the entire body of scholars was convinced that Kripaluji Maharaj's knowledge was deeper than the combined knowledge of all the 500 scholars put together, they honoured him with the title of Jagadguru, or the Spiritual Master of the world. They also declared that he was Jagadguruttam, or supreme amongst Jagadgurus, and <i>Bhaktiyog Rasavatar,</i> or the descension of the Bliss of Divine Love.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">These are the major mistakes he did because he was arrogant. Despite such great skills and powers, he kept on doing such major mistakes throughout the life and the only one reason for this was an absence of devotion to God in his life. Due to that absence of devotion, he was obsessed with his powers and considered himself invincible.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Shree Ram gave a very thought-provoking answer, "Mother, I haven't killed the great scholar, a highly intelligent, a master of sciences, an excellent warrior, a great musician and a sadhak of Lord Shiv, Ravan... But, ...his "I" (ego) has killed him!"</span></div>

<br />
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; text-align: justify;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; text-align: justify;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Yesterday was a day for Ganapati Visarjan. Little Sanket was very upset. He was not ready to say "Good Bye" to lovely Ganeshji. He was truly devotional minded child and was get highly attached to Ganapati in these special ten days of Ganesh-pooja (From Ganesh Chaturthi to Anant Chaturdashi). </span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
All gathered relatives and other people were eager to proceed with the ceremony of visarjan but they were helpless in front of the sentimental stubbornness of this small child. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Finally his grand ma took the whole matter in her hand. She sat with him, and calmed him down. She knew the depth of devotion in heart of this child. He was not going to be convinced merely by any temptation of chocolates or video games! So she made him understand the act of visarjan as a part of worship with true philosophical understanding.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
She told him, "Look, God is omnipresent. He neither arrives nor leaves. He has existed before time and will exist beyond. This ceremony is symbolic to understand our life. We arrive, we celebrate and we merge into the elements." </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
She continued, "The act of Visarjan teaches us to let go of something you love deeply. To surrender to faith over intellect. It also teaches us what we love may leave us, so love unconditionally... !!!"</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It is good that you feel happy in serving God, but the true essence of devotion and service lies in not your happiness, but it lies in the happiness of God. You need to understand this if you really want to serve God.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It teaches us to remember God throughout the year and wait to welcome Him again according to His time and wish...!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It teaches that the omni-present God, when time comes, again appears in front of us and gives the chance to serve Him. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<br /></div>
</span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">That is why we say "O Ganesh! Do come back sooner the next year!" Till then we do not stop worshiping Him but we prepare ourselves to welcome Him again with more devotion, with more faith and with more desire to serve Him.</span><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">"</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">This is what Sanket was needed to understand. <span style="font-weight: bold;">
</span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Again years passed by...</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Dony, a crow was sitting on the branch of the tree, with a peace of cookie comfortably gripped between his beak.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Rony—a mischievous fox was passing through. He saw the cookie. He was hungry. To grab that sweet yummy cookie, first he applied the old and famous trick of flattering—praising Dony’s voice to lure him into singing and so forth.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">But Dony was no idiot; he was aware of those types of tricks and knew how to deal with them.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">He didn't pay attention to the fox and started relishing the cookie. The fox of new generation had also become more cunning according to its inherent nature. Rony applied plan 'B.' </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">He told Dony, "I think you are eating the cookie right now. So naturally you can't sing. But let me tell you one thing. Have you noticed your cookie is contaminated? You should check the latest bulletin that recently all the lot of cookies got spoil due to some bacteria!! Are you sure it’s fit for consumption?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Dony really got worried! He didn’t want to take any chance with health—he threw the cookie away, immediately. Cunning Rony grabbed the cookie and ran away.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Dony realized that again he became fool by the fox.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Jumbo an unsuspecting crow was sitting on the branch of a tree with a piece of cake in his beak.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Dumbo—a giggly fox was passing by that tree. He saw the cake gripped between his beak. He played a trick. First, he flattered him into singing. But as Jumbo had imbibed lessons from his ancestors, the trick didn't work out. Dumbo applied the plan 'B.' He tried to create doubt in crow's mind and thus tried to scare him. But the crow of latest generation had learnt the new lesson also and he was pretty sure about the his cunningness.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">When the plan 'B' also failed, the fox got disappointed. He was really hungry and now thinking of what to do?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Jumbo flew down from the tree—holding the cake in its claw and talked very gently with that fox.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">He told: "I think you are hungry. Am I right?"</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Dumbo helplessly replied, "Yes."</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Jumbo had learnt many moral and spiritual values from his parents. He has seen his parents living those values in their life. He is also used to read moral stories and regularly engaged in <i>satsang</i>. So it was very easy for him to live them.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">He told Dumbo, "Dear Dumbo! If you are hungry, then why are you making things complicated? You could have told me about your hunger and we could have shared the cake. I could have given it to you or shared it with you. There were no need to be so tricky about it. Your cunningness will harm your inner self and also to the creatures like me, who, out of fear of being fooled and cheated, become suspicious and think a thousand times before trusting anyone! Please, stop being cunning, okay!!"</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Having said so, he generously shared the cake with him. Both of them relished the cake and satiated their hunger.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><b>Original story</b></span></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">There was a crow named Tony; he was very proud of himself. One day he found a <i>masala pudi</i> (Indian crispy snack). He picked up the <i>pudi</i> with his beak and flew to the forest. He went and sat on the branch—thinking, “Let me relish this <i>pudi</i> now,” and grabbed it between his beak. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Vicky- a cunning fox was hanging around. He was very hungry; could not climb the tree. When he saw the crow about to devour a crispy <i>pudi</i>, he devised a scheme.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">He thought to himself, “Crows are one of the proudest birds I ever known.” He went to Tony and talked to him in sweetest voice, “O! My friend crow, you are the king of birds. You have beautiful wings. “O! You have bright eyes. O! You have a very graceful neck. Can you sing a song for me? I am sure you have a beautiful voice too.”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">The crow was foolish. He felt flattered listening to the praise of the fox. He opened his mouth to sing, “Caw! Caw!” The <i>pudi</i> fell down from his mouth. Vicky snapped it up quickly, “Hurray!” said the fox—gulping down the whole <i>pudi</i> in no time. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">The poor crow realized later that the fox was only fooling him.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Romy, a young crow, was sitting on the branch of the tree with a slice of bread. Bony, a youthful fox was passing by; he saw the craw with a bread in its beak. Now he was really very hungry. He remembered what his ancestors used to do in the same condition. Like his ancestors, he also started flattering the crow. </span></div>

The crow took out the bread from its beak, with utmost care put it aside and told the fox: "O fox! My ancestors have taught me not to be fooled by the flattering. I know, your scheme. You will flatter into singing, hoping as soon as I open my mouth, the bread will fall off for you to grab. But alas! Your plan will not work out. If you can learn lessons from your ancestors, how can you forget that even I can learn and improve from the experiences of my ancestors?"</span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Little Efforts for Noble Service!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">The mother nature is getting more and more harsh this summer due to the mistakes, apathy, and irresponsible acts of human race. Forecasts of heat waves are worrisome. We have many ways and means to overcome or tolerate these heat-waves, but what about the other species on planet Earth?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">We human speak out our needs. Sometimes by demanding, sometimes by requesting, sometimes by shouting or if required, even (in some cases) by snatching, we do fulfill our needs. But think about the birds and animals.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Amid the abnormal heat spike, thirsty birds and stray animals have to hunt for a drop of water--specially in urban areas. Give a thought to the speechless birds and animals; who would not speak or scream or shout for water, they just...silently...loose their lives due to the thirst!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Let us be little bit concerned for these speechless creatures!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Please arrange for a water bowl specially for them. We do not have to spend much time, energy, or money for this noble service! Just a bowl filled with pure and fresh water! That is all. It is not at all a major task but it would save lives! </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">If you are very busy, you can definitely pass this current of compassion to your children! Give them this opportunity to take charge of providing pure water to the birds for entire summer season. This way you can teach them the values of concern, kindness, and compassion. Do not miss this chance to teach them that being an elevated creature, being a human it is our moral duty to keep compassion for all other creatures on this earth.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">The birds and animals don't ask for coconut water or butter milk or aerated cold drinks.They need plain and pure water! We can definitely arrange for pure water! Can't we ??</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Few suggestions regarding placing water bowl for birds or animals.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">1. Place a water bowl in a balcony or a compound or a garden. If possible place them on different and many places, so that many birds can get the advantage and satisfy their thirst!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">2. Those living in bungalows can easily help even the animals like cows and dogs.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">3. Keep the bowls under the shade or at the place where it can be saved from direct sunlight.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">4. Always keep pure, fresh and clean water in the bowl.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">5. Prefer clay bowls as clay bowls are better than plastic or metal bowls because the water stays very cool even when temperature is very high.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">6. For animals a big, deep, and large bowls are suitable, but for the birds select little shallow bowls. Remember they have only small beak to drink water.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">7. Do not forget to wash the bowl daily. Disinfect it by putting empty in the sunlight for some time. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">8. During the day, periodically keep filling the bowl with clean and fresh water.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">9. Animals are very fearful by nature, any kind of petting, touching, teasing will keep them away and it may restrain them from coming.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Let the birds and animals feel at home and visit more often your residence!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">When Varaah, an avatar of Lord Vishnu, incarnated on the Earth and vanquished Hiranyaksh, Hiranyakashipu, the brother of Hiranyaksh, was infuriated and determined to seek revenge. He went to Mt. Mandrachal and performed difficult austerities. Brahma was pleased with his devotion and granted him a boon. Hiranyakasipu wanted to cheat Brahma by indirect definition. First of all he wanted to become immortal. Brahma said, “That is not possible because even I am not immortal. Nobody in this material world is immortal. So that is not possible."<br /></span><div>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">So Hiranyakasipu prayed to Brahma that “Please give me the benediction that...<br />I shall not be killed by any man or any animal.<br />I shall not be killed in the sky, on the water or on land.<br />I shall not be killed by any man-made weapons." <br /><br />In this way he utilized his intelligence in so many ways just to come to the conclusion of being immortal.<br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Brahma granted Hiranyakashipu this boon. Thereafter, Hiranyakashipu terrorized the three lokas with his newly acquired invincibility. He became arrogant and demanded that everyone should worship him as GOD. While Hiranyakashipu was performing penances, the child in his wife Kayadhu’s womb frightened Indra. Indra kidnapped her, but he encountered Naradji, who persuaded him to release Kayadhu. Naradji took her to his ashram and instructed her to worship Vishnu. During this time, Naradji read scriptures describing Lord Vishnu’s lilas to her. The child in her womb, Prahlad, became absorbed in Lord Vishnu’s bhakti. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">After Prahlad was born, Hiranyakashipu made several attempts to kill him because of his unflinching faith in Lord Vishnu. He used to love his son but when Prahlad refused to obey his orders and worshiped Lord Vishnu, the frustrated Hiranyakashipu became the worst enemy of his own son and tried to kill him by all means. Prahlad tried explaining the importance of performing bhakti and worshiping God, but his father, evil in nature, could not understand the glory of God. Without a moral conscience, Hiranyakashipu continued to terrorize thousands of people. </span></div>

Although Hiranyakashipu made several attempts to kill his son, but every time Prahlad without getting disturb kept on chanting “Aum Namo Bhagavate Vaasudevaay” with a gentle smile on face!! <span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />Finally, Hiranyakashiapu turned to his sister Holika. She was blessed by a boon which made her immune to fire. So her brother asked Holika to enter a fire with Prahlad in her lap. The demon king was sure that there was no way Vishnu could save Prahlad from death now! Holika sat on a pyre and coaxed young Prahlad to sit in her lap. Hiranykashipu ordered the attendants to light the pyre. Holika had to pay the price of her cruelty with her life. Holika was burned to death. Lord Vishnu blessed him once again for his unwavering devotion.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />Once, Prahlad was explaining the omnipresent glory of God to his father. Hiranyakashipu asked if Bhagawan was present in the room in a heated pillar. Prahlad reaffirmed that <i>Bhagawan</i> is everywhere, even in that pillar. Hiranyakashipu became angry and struck the pillar with his sword. From the pillar, Lord Vishnu appeared in the form of Narasimha Bhagawan, whose upper body was that of a lion and lower body that of a man. He caught Hiranyakashipu and dragged him towards the threshold of his palace near doorstep and put Hiranyakashipu on His thighs.<br /><br />The Lord roared angrily, “ O Hiranyakashipu! <div>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
Prahlad bowed down to Narasimha <i>Bhagawan</i>’s feet and received his blessings. He offered a unique prayer in which he requested forgiveness and devotion for his father and himself. Narasimha Bhagawan gave Prahlad his blessings and appointe him as the king. Prahlad ruled as a righteous king for 36,000 years!<div>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />How gracious is God! <div style="text-align: justify;">
No..no, this is not a daily schedule of a mother of an ordinary child! It is a prescribed schedule in Pushtimarg for a Divine Child Shree Nathaji!! Shreenathji is a form of Shree Krishna, manifest as a seven-year-old child. Lord Shrinathji symbolizes a form of Lord Krishna, when He lifted the 'Govardhan' Hill. He is also known as Giriraj Dharan!</div>

Vallabhacharya, who was the founder of Pushtimarg, was worshiping Shree Krishna as a Child. He had a parental sentiments for God and so he prescribed various sevas for the whole day from early morning to night to engage mentally and physically with God.</div>

In Indian philosophy, he is also known as the writer of sixteen stotras, as well as several commentaries on the Shreemad Bhagawatam, describing the pastimes of Lord Krishna. He was considered to be one of the five great Vaishnav Acharyas of the past, who established Vaishnav schools, the others being Ramanujacharya, Madhavacharya, Nimbarkacharya and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.</div>

<br />
<div>
<i style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Holika Dahan</i><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"> is a popular ritual followed in many parts of India. The festival of </span><i style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Holi</i><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"> gets its name from this very ritual of </span><i style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Holika Dahan</i><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">. </span><i style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Holika Dahan</i><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"> literally means burning Holika. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br />The demon King Hiranyakashipu had a son named Prahlad. Prahlad was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu. Hiranyakashipu tortured him in every way so that he would stop worshipping Lord Vishnu<br />but Prahlad was adamant. As last resort, Hiranyakashipu summoned his sister Holika to kill Prahlad. <br />Holika had a boon that she would never be harmed by fire. Holika took innocent and unsuspecting Prahlad on her lap and sat on a burning pyre. As she committed an act so sinful, her boon became unfruitful; she was consumed by the fire and Prahlad came out safely. Thus, the evil was destroyed and faith of the people on God was restored.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>

<div>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">We all know this story and celebrate the victory of Prahalad and his unflinching faith in God. This story also throws light in our lives and gives many eye-opening messages!</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<b style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Lessons to be learnt from the epic-episode of Holika Dahan </b></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br />1. Never try to harm any devotee by the power you have. God is all-powerful and protects His devotee in any way. Holika was protected with a boon that fire cannot harm her. But she used this boon with ill-will and for a negative purpose of killing a devotee of God, Prahlad. Prahlad was saved by Lord Vishnu and Holika completely got burnt in that fire. <br /><br />2. It is not mentioned anywhere that a devotes of God won't face problems or sufferings. They are there as a chain of experiences but one who has surrendered one's self to God, does not feel the pain out of these negative experiences. Sitting amidst the flames of burning fire, Prahlad was experiencing coolness as if a sheet of fresh lotus flowers was spread upon him, just because he was devotedly remembering Lord Vishnu.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">3. Devotion is not a matter of age. It is to be started right from the childhood. Prahlad is a great example that one can attain God-realization even at a very young age.<br /><br />4. Like Hiranykashipu and Holika, many of our <i>sankars</i> continuously try to stop us progressing on the path of <i>bhakti</i>. We need to recognize them and just like Prahlad, keep worshiping God, no matter how many obstacles or fear they create. Keep the faith, that one day all these negative factors will become weak and powerless. We can smoothly go ahead on the path of devotion toward God. Without getting disturbed by their threats, we need to keep progressing on this path.<br /><br />5. During the <i>Holika Dahan</i>, in many parts of India people used to throw unnecessary things like old cloths, vessels, and many other unused or not usable things into the fire. As incomplete human-beings many vices resides in us--lust, anger, greed, attachment, pride, jealousy etc. Let us surrender to God and throw all of them in the fire of <i>Holika Dahan</i> to purify our heart to make a clean and perfect residence of Radha and Krishna.</span></div>

<br />
<div>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">This dialogue between Hanuman and Shree Ram is very meaningful and useful for all the spiritual aspirants.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
Hanumanji himself is an incarnation of Lord Shiv; although he is an epitome of devotion and selfless service to Shree Ram, to guide the souls on the path of spiritual service, he reveals following important points.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<span style="text-align: justify;">After returning with Sanjeevani and the whole herb-mountain, Hanuman--very humbly--talked to his Lord, Shree Ram. "Lord! You didn't send me to bring Sanjeevani, </span>but You sent me there to reveal two significant aspects which are essential on the path of spiritual service and practice!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiP49pgbJn54JrX46nzTKJS2mttLXDuSJDTmXSY53ElkbXamK9fIrwkmcb135cRpTpfcb42XvbkrUMt31yJjfLujmPPtH3WVePM_czNRB2ZP0w9ypwbGQIJk96Nf1d8PUA-DZ_8PNLs18k/s1600/hanuman-brings-gandhamadan-parvat-to-revive-lakshmana-CH79_l.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="691" data-original-width="900" height="245" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiP49pgbJn54JrX46nzTKJS2mttLXDuSJDTmXSY53ElkbXamK9fIrwkmcb135cRpTpfcb42XvbkrUMt31yJjfLujmPPtH3WVePM_czNRB2ZP0w9ypwbGQIJk96Nf1d8PUA-DZ_8PNLs18k/s320/hanuman-brings-gandhamadan-parvat-to-revive-lakshmana-CH79_l.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Shree Ram asked, "Dear Hanuman, why are you saying so? What makes you feel so?"</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Hanuman replied, "I came to know that Shree Bharat is a greater devotee than me! When I was returning with Sanjeevani, unknowingly he hit me with an arrow. I fell to the ground, getting badly injured. But Bharatji neither asked for Sanjeevani nor he called any doctor. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">He has such great faith in You and the devotion for You that he prayed,"If by mind, words, and body my love for the Lotus-feet of Shree Ram is pure and innocent; if my Lord Raghunath is pleased with me, then may this monkey get free from all fatigue and pains!" </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">As he spoke these words, immediately I got up and returned back to the normal!!"</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Lesson:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">We chant the name of God but we do not have full faith in His Name. When difficulties arrive, we keep trusting external factors, ignoring the remembrance of God with faith and surrender to Him.</span></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Little Radhaji has opened Her eyes for the first time when Little Kanha came to the function at Vrishbhanuji's palace. When the function got over little Kanha had to return His home with His parents. Now here in Barsana, Baby Radharani was feeling very lonely without Her beloved Krishna. She was passing through severe sadness. Sometimes She wept silently and sometimes She lost Herself in memories of Krishna. She remained in the cradle without any movement for long hours. <br /><br />Looking to the condition of her beloved princess, Mother Kirti got very anxious. She tried her best to get her charming daughter back to normal. She offered Her a milk, but Baby Radha refused to drink. She offered fruit juices, toys, lotus and other flowers, pearls strings, dolls...but nothing could change Her mood. <br /><br />Now the mother was really concerned. She couldn't understand what was wrong with her effulgent daughter? Suddenly a thought sparked in her mind. She very well knew that after the meeting with Baby Kanha, for the first time Radhaji opened her lotus-eyes. <br /><br />She immediately drew a beautiful picture of Kanha and showed it to Her. </span><br />

<div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">When Baby Radha saw that picture, She jumped back into sitting as if She was brought back to life again. Her lotus-eyes Started sparking. A beautiful smile came on the rose like lips. Her face was shining like a full moon. She immediately woke up from the cradle and raised Her hands to grab the wonderful photo of Shree Krishna!</span></div>

<br /><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Ever since little Krishna came to <i>Nand Baba</i>’s home, every day He spreads bliss by revealing different <i>Leelas</i>. Especially Mother Yashoda began drenching in the <i>ras</i> of <i>Bal Krishna</i>. Everyday Krishna raises new questions and demands and mother relish His innocence!!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">One late evening, little Krishna was strolling in the terrace with mother Yashoda. Suddenly He saw the Moon. He told His mother pointing at the Moon, "Maiya, what’s that?" The Mother said, "Oh! That is Moon, Lalla."</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Krishna said, “I want that!”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">The Mother said, “It’s too far away, my boy!”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Krishna: “It looks like a big lump of butter!”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Mother: “Yes my dear, but it’s not butter!”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Krishna: “Whatever it is, I want to play with it.”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Krishna was very keen to have the Moon in His home. Mother thought yesterday also I diverted Him from catching His own reflection. Now if I would not do anything today, my <i>Lalla</i> will feel bad. So Maiya filled a big vessel with water and put it in the terrace; one could easily see the Moon’s reflection in that water. Maiya showed it to Krishna. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Mother: “Look Kanha! The moon is right here now!”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1vaYi8ZnkySBduSL9Mdy1Udv1ApjqxHjrgAoFFYf0OxmXyQqs0Bbzd8JwcF1wW2YioDAlzRJymhXoYvqc2o6w1O6aRSbezh3SBuoyvwBKFffX6a7ttf-_fuU3bmqB_o8wR7LCiIaKllo/s1600/moon+leela.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="495" data-original-width="720" height="220" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1vaYi8ZnkySBduSL9Mdy1Udv1ApjqxHjrgAoFFYf0OxmXyQqs0Bbzd8JwcF1wW2YioDAlzRJymhXoYvqc2o6w1O6aRSbezh3SBuoyvwBKFffX6a7ttf-_fuU3bmqB_o8wR7LCiIaKllo/s320/moon+leela.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Krishna rushed to the vessel and saw the reflection of Moon. For a moment He was very happy. He put His hand in the vessel but only water came to His hand. Again He started, "This is not what I want."</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Maiya got very confused. “How to convince this little charming boy!!?" she thought. Suddenly a beautiful thought sparked in her mind. She took <i>Lalla</i> in her lap and softly told, “My dear, see this moon has a dark spot in him. I heard that in the neighbouring village Barsana, a very charming sweet girl has appeared at Vrishbhanuji’s home. She is prettier and brighter than this moon. Moreover, there is no dark shadow on Her face. Her name is “Radha”. I will try to take you to her; then you will forget this Moon.”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Surprisingly, Krishna immediately got convinced. “Maiya are you sure, you will take me to Her?”</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Maiya told: "Of course, I promise You."</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Krishna smiled and mumbled, "Maiya, I just wanted to listen to this sweet name 'Radha' and wanted the assurance to meet Her. I eagerly waiting to see Her in child form on this planet earth!!"</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Mrikandu was a great sage and an ardent devotee of Lord Shiv. He and his wife Marudvati dedicated their life to the worship of the Lord, and their only regret was that they had no child to whom they could pass on their devotion.</span><br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="color: #222222;">In response to his prayers, Lord Shiv appeared before </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222;">Mrikandu</span>,<span style="color: #222222;"> and said. "I am very pleased with you and your wife. I have decided to grant your dearest wish of bearing a child. However, you have a choice. Do you want a son who will be smart and intelligent, but will only live for sixteen years, or do you want a foolish son with a long life?" Mrikandu replied immediately, " Lord. we would rather have an intelligent son, even if his life will be short. Of what use is a long life if one is not intelligent enough to make use of it for the right purpose?" Lord </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222;">Shiv</span> was<span style="color: #222222;"> pleased by </span><span style="color: #222222;">Mrikandu's</span><span style="color: #222222;"> </span><span style="color: #222222;">choice, and left, granting the sage his wish.</span></span></div>
<div style="color: #222222; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #222222; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">A child was born to Marudvati and they named him "Markandeya". literally meaning "the son of Mrikandu." Even as a child, he stood out among the other children of his father's ashram, with his divine luster that grew as he absorbed knowledge like a sponge. At a young age, his father performed his thread ceremony and started teaching him the <i>Vedas</i> and the <i>Puranas</i>. The child picked up the mantras easily, amazing the inmates of the ashram. In a few years, he had mastered all the <i>Vedas</i> and the <i>Shastras</i>, making his parents proud.</span></div>
<div style="color: #222222; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #222222; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">As his sixteenth birthday drew near, Sage Mrikandu and Marudvati became anxious, remembering Lord's injunction, and fearing that they would lose their son whom they adored so much. Markandeya noticed his parents' apprehension, and asked them the reason for their sadness. Sage Mrikandu explained the circumstances of his birth, the conditions laid down by Lord Shiv, and his approaching death. " My son, we were so happy at the prospect of getting an intelligent son, that we did not worry about the short life span. Now, we cannot bear to be parted from you, and are worried about what will happen just a few days from now."</span></div>
<div style="color: #222222; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #222222; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Markandeya smiled and replied, " Father, you have taught me the <i>Vedas</i>, the <i>Puranas</i>, and the <i>Shastras</i>. You have taught me that Lord Shiv always listens to the sincere prayers of His devotees. Please do not worry. It is Lord SHiv who has decreed that I should live for sixteen years. I shall pray to him, and ask him to extend my life. He will surely answer my sincere prayers." Speaking thus, with a confident smile, Markandeya went to the river bank, made a Shiv ling with sand, and began praying with all his heart.</span></div>
<div style="color: #222222; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #222222; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Days passed, and Markandeya was immersed in his prayers, when Yamraj, the god of death, arrived to take his soul from his mortal body. Seeing the fearful form of Yamraj, Markandeya tightly hugged the Shiv Ling he had made. Yamraj laughed and said, "Child, it is my duty to take you today. Nothing and no one can save you now.." Saying this, he threw his noose over the boy, but he was so close to the Ling that the noose encircled the Shiv Ling and Markandeya.</span></div>
<div style="color: #222222; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #222222; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">As soon as the noose touched the Shiv Ling, Lord Shiv was enraged. He burst out of it, and kicked Yamraj. "How dare you throw your noose on me," He shouted, shocking Yamraj. </span></div>

<span style="color: #222222; font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; text-align: justify;">Caught off-guard, Yamraj tried to explain that it was his duty, but Lord Shiv was furious. He said, "This boy has come to me for protection, and he shall have it. Yamraj, you can never touch him as he will be immortal." Chastised and disappointed, Yamraj left for his abode. Lord Shiv blessed Markandeya with a long life, and with immense knowledge. Markandeya returned home, making his parents ecstatic. He went on to become one of the most learned </span><i style="color: #222222; font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif; text-align: justify;">rishis</i><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; text-align: justify;"> of all time.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">There are many powerful hymns, such as the <i>Maha Mrityunjaya mantra</i> that protect one from death, which are ascribed to him. He is mentioned in many of the sacred epics and<i> Puranas</i>. The <i>Markandeya Puran</i> comprises of a conversation between Sage Markandeya and Sage Jaimini, and is a store house of knowledge and information. The <i>Devi Mahatmaya</i>, a treatise on the Devi, is part of this <i>Puran</i>. Markandeya's story and dialogue are also described in many chapters of the <i>Shreemad</i> <i>Bhagavatam.</i></span></div>

<br />
Why do we do<i> Parikrama</i>?<br />
<br />
<i>Parikrama</i>, also known as <i>Pradakshina</i> or circumambulation is a regular religious activity for the one who daily visits the temple. When we are blessed with <i>Darshan</i>, special <i>Pooja </i>or other different religious ceremonies, we walk circumambulating the idol, reciting verses silently or singing loudly the glories of God. This is known as <i>Parikrama. </i><br />
<br />
<b><i>Parikrama</i> is not just a ritual but it also has a deep devotional sentiment and significance!</b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd2M7eV4hpiQG68S7iNgFxPwW6zhaM1fZUpnXvqsoOjoz0q9o6fvwHWa3js0hUioKq-tb9Aq__QaVRDHew_iyEEnAtlKSd1WGKvbaJ0KBZOgVMvZmGLNeAq5yQcM7FSmNy898QCQcFG40/s1600/sm1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="800" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd2M7eV4hpiQG68S7iNgFxPwW6zhaM1fZUpnXvqsoOjoz0q9o6fvwHWa3js0hUioKq-tb9Aq__QaVRDHew_iyEEnAtlKSd1WGKvbaJ0KBZOgVMvZmGLNeAq5yQcM7FSmNy898QCQcFG40/s320/sm1.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span>
<span style="text-align: left;">We cannot draw a circle without a center point. God is the center of our entire existence.</span><i style="text-align: left;"> Parikrama</i><span style="text-align: left;"> reminds us this very very important point of devotional life! When we get out of the temple and get engaged in the daily chores, we should keep the God in our center. We should always remember that what we do is the God's energy and inspiration which empower us. We are just an instrument. It is only His pure Grace that we can do whatever we do, whatever we gain, whatever we achieve.</span><br />
<div>
<div>
<div>
<br />
Wherever we go in this world which is so wide and full of varieties, our center should be God. We should live the life which moves around God, the center.<br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>Parikrama</i> also reminds us the principle of a circle. Every point in the circle is equidistant from the center. This indicates that when God is the center of the whole existence, we all are equidistant from Him. We all are equally close to God. Whoever, wherever and whatever we are, God's grace flows to everyone at the same pace, time, quantity, and quality. God showers His Grace without any partiality!<br />
<div>
<br />
The idols of God are situated in the middle of the temple. They continuously spread divine vibrations in the entire ambiance of the temple. Maximum vibrations stay accumulated in this area. By circumambulating the idols, devotees absorb maximum devotional vibrations.</div>
</div>
<div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">After every spiritual discourse, <i>kirtans</i>, religious ritual or any other ceremony, we unfailingly end up with an Arati. Even when welcoming the God or a saint we first offer them <i>Arati</i>. By offering Arati, we honor them and their arrival. Thus <i>Arati</i> is an inseparable part of spiritual ceremonies!<br /><br /><b>Why do we offer <i>Arati</i>?</b><br />For<i> Arati</i> we lit one or more lamps with<i> ghee</i> or oil and put them in a well- decorated plate. Then we rotate the <i>Arati</i> clockwise, circling the full form of our beloved deities. The beautiful forms illuminate with <i>Arati</i> in front of us and that adds to the beauty and emotions in our hearts. At the end of the<i> Arati</i>, we place our palms on the lamp and then take the same palms and put on our eyes, forehead and on the top of the head. We are all familiar with this process of <i>Arati</i> since the time of our childhood. We do it ritually every time we are in the temple, but how many of us know the reason behind this spiritual activity? <br /><br />When we offer the <i>Arati </i>to the Lord, in circling movement, and the light illuminates the idols in a divine manner, our eyes, mind, and heart automatically get focused on to the idols and these<i> Darshans</i> are done with the deep concentration. <b>Thus it becomes a meditation with open eyes!! It also facilitated <i>Roop Dhyan</i> process because of the visual memory we create of our idols. </b><br /><br />At the end of <i>Arati,</i> when we put our palms on the top of it and then take the palms to our eyes and forehead, we are praying that "May the light that illumined the Lord, lights up my vision, may my vision be divine and my thoughts noble and beautiful."<br /><br />The only rule of <i>Bhakti</i> is to develop devotional and spiritual sentiments towards God. The singing of <i>Arati </i>should also be done believing that the God Himself is standing in front of us. And that we are calling out for Him by singing this <i>Arati</i>. The more intense the sentiment one has while doing <i>Arati</i>, the faster the prayers reach to God.<br /><br /><i>Arati</i> is mostly accompanied by singing, clapping, ringing the bells, blowing a conch and playing many other musical instruments like drums etc. When the <i>Aarti</i> is done by a group of people with all other musical instruments then a more powerful divine atmosphere is created. This is a beautiful way to add joy and cheer to the devotional practices. This deeply purifies every person present there, along with the place of <i>Aarti.</i> <br /><br />The only intention here in singing the melodies of devotion accompanied with musical instruments is to <b>PLEASE GOD</b>! Once the intent is pure and the sentiments are high, the purpose is automatically achieved.<br /><br />Keeping all these significant aspects of<i> Arati</i>, sing this divinely melodious<i> Arati</i> of Shree Radha Krishna!</span><div>
